Meet the Fire Chief

Chief McFadden has served as the Chief of the Department since April of 2013.  He started his career with the Guymon Fire Department as an intern through Oklahoma Panhandle State University in September of 2001.  He received his Associates in Fire Protection from OPSU, while also obtaining a Bachelors in Biology.  Chief McFadden has worked his way through the ranks at the Guymon Fire Department from Intern, Firefighter and Assistant Chief of Training.

Chief McFadden holds many licenses and certifications including Paramedic, Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor, and Firefighter II.  He received his Executive Fire Officer from the National Fire Academy in 2015.  He is a member of the Guymon Haz Mat team, the Guymon Fire Department Honor Guard, and a member of the Panhandle Technical Rescue Team.

Chief McFadden is an educator that helps teach the next generation of firefighters.  He currently is an adjunct instructor for OPSU.  He also teaches Rope Rescue, Trench Rescue, and Confined Space Rescue through OSU-FST.
