City Debuts New, Mobile-Friendly Website

Guymon, OK – On Monday, October 9, the City of Guymon launched a new, mobile-friendly government website in an effort to enhance online accessibility and transparency. The site, www.guymonok.org, is one of the City’s most important communication tools and offers a one-stop shop for residents and visitors to find information on everything related to municipal operations including city departments and staff, elected officials, special events, economic development, news, projects, maps, arts and recreation opportunities, and much more.

The last major website overhaul was in 2012.  Our new website builds on the content and accessibility we created then, and makes it even easier to find important city information relevant to our residents. Visitors to our new site will immediately notice an improved visual appearance that reinforces the City’s brand.

The City set a number of goals for redesigning the www.guymonok.org website, including: updating the overall user experience, making navigation easier and more intuitive, improving mobile responsiveness and updating and refreshing content. The new website makes it easy to complete online payments, apply for jobs or business licenses and permits, and find city information related to parks, Sunset Hills Golf Course, and the Guymon Municipal Airport.

A new scrolling “News and Announcements” section of the homepage provides timely City news at a glance, and a list of upcoming events in the community calendar will ensure residents don’t miss out on city events and library classes.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to explore the new website and share their feedback by contacting webmaster@guymonok.org
