The City of Guymon hosted
a Community Open House on November 30 at city hall from 4:30 pm to 5:45
pm. The goal is to allow public review
and comment on several possible concept plans for the proposed soccer complex
located on State Highway 3, directly East of Prairie Elementary. Three
potential plans have been developed by Kimley/Horn, the design consultants for
the project. There were 24
attendees. The plans were also reviewed
at the parks board meeting last week. If
you missed the meeting but would like to know more about the concepts and have
input, please contact Dave Clapsaddle at the City of Guymon at (580) 338-3396. The sample proposed concepts are available on
the City of Guymon web page under the News tab. All comments must be received by December 11th.
The three concepts are not
the only choices but are options of ways a complex could be constructed. Think of the choices as a buffet where you
can pick and choose what you want and put it on your plate in any manner that
you choose. Tell us what you like, what
you don’t and why.
