Change in Date - Annual Community-Wide Spring Cleanup

The City of Guymon is sponsoring a free disposal day that was scheduled for this coming weekend.  Due to forecast of rain and cold temperatures, the date has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 28. Residents must provide proof of residency (utility bill) and a photo ID. Two drop-off locations are available for your convenience.

For those that had planned to cleanup this weekend and brave the forecast, the transfer station will still be open for business with no charge for residents.

Transfer Station at 3133 Road T will accept all of the usual items including trash, tires, paint and hazardous waste, couches, mattresses, furniture, appliances, scrap metal and trees and limbs from landscaping. Transfer Station hours on event-day are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

April 28th, crews will set up at Texas County Fairgrounds parking lot to accept large items such as appliances, tires (8 per household), furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, paint and hazardous waste and tree limbs. All of the items must be separated at the site and trash will be accepted only if it is bagged. Staff will be on-site to direct traffic and help unload large items. Fairground hours on event-day are 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Interested in volunteering? This is a great opportunity for school, church or service organizations that want to get involved and contribute to making Guymon a great place to live. Contact the City of Guymon at 580-338-3396 or Main Street Guymon at 580-338-6246 for details.
